Transportation Staff and Residents.
Chelsea T-Rider’s United is a group of local residents working to support residents of our local communities to stay informed about any potential changes in the transportation department that may prove problematic to residents utilizing the MBTA transportation. While there is other T-Rider’s United Groups working in other communities, the group here in Chelsea has been actively working to inform and educate residents of upcoming changes. In September and October 2013 per invitation of the T-Rider’s United Group, MBTA representatives were invited to speak at two of Chelsea Housing Authority’s senior/disabled developments of Buckley and Margolis.
From projected changes to the bus service, THE RIDE eligibility questions, to the silver line service being extended into Chelsea are only in part some of the helpful information provided at these meetings.
Representatives present of the MBTA were, Marilyn Cole and Paul Fitzgerald of THE RIDE Eligibility Center, Scott Hamwey and Heather Hume
of Massachusetts Department of Transportation, ROSS Program Staff at Chelsea Housing Authority.
